Business/Project Developer
A leading international developer in the renewable energy sector is seeking a strategic Business and Project Developer to accelerate its growth in the Austrian market. This role bridges the gap between early-stage site identification and formal project securing, focusing on large-scale Solar PV, Battery Storage (BESS), and Agrivoltaic solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full "prospect-to-lease" lifecycle, ensuring all new ventures are technically viable, financially sound, and aligned with global sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities

Origination & Prospecting: Identify and qualify new site opportunities for solar and storage projects through rigorous scouting and potential assessments.

Feasibility & Analysis: Lead technical, economic, and environmental feasibility studies to validate project viability before major investment.

Land Securing: Negotiate and finalize land-use agreements, navigating complex discussions with landowners and agricultural operators through to the signing of lease options.

Project Lifecycle Management: Create and execute comprehensive development plans, including budgeting, milestone tracking, and resource allocation.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central link between internal legal, technical, financial, and QHSE teams, as well as external consultants.

Stakeholder Diplomacy: Build long-term relationships with local authorities, public institutions, and community stakeholders to de-risk project delivery.

Risk & Compliance: Manage regulatory adherence and implement mitigation strategies for technical or financial risks.

Reporting & Data Integrity: Maintain high administrative rigor within internal systems, providing progress reports and performance indicators to senior management.
Experience & Technical Expertise

Academic Background: Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Project Management.

Proven Track Record: At least 10 years of experience in renewable energy development, with a minimum of 3 years specifically within the Austrian market.

Technology Focus: Deep expertise in Solar PV, BESS, and Agrivoltaics (including a strong understanding of agricultural practices).

Regulatory Knowledge: Advanced understanding of Austrian energy regulations and environmental compliance.
