Manager, Electrical System Design
As our Manager of Electrical System Design, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the Engineering department. You will lead a team of skilled Electrical Design Engineers responsible for developing high-quality electrical infrastructure designs and specifications for HV/MV systems.
This is a leadership position combining technical expertise, people management, and strategic development of engineering standards and methodologies.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and develop a team of Electrical Design Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Technical Oversight & Engineering Excellence

Oversee the development of electrical system designs, including SLDs, drawings, tender documentation, technical specifications, and complete documentation packages for HV/MV infrastructure and equipment

Lead the development of new design concepts, methodologies, and best practices

Maintain and further develop internal engineering standards, guidelines, tools, and databases within High Voltage Engineering & Design

Ensure high-quality and timely technical reviews of projects
Procurement & Technical Evaluation

Support procurement processes for main electrical components
-
Conduct component reviews and techno-economic (TCO) assessments of technical solutions and equipment
-
Provide technical expertise to ensure optimal design and cost-efficiency
Market & Stakeholder Collaboration

Support development activities across markets, with particular focus on Denmark
-
Liaise with grid operators to understand local requirements

Contribute to grid applications and grid connection agreements

Collaborate closely with project managers, development teams, IT, Global Technical Asset Management, grid operators, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders
Some travel to other markets is expected, though not on a regular basis.
Your Profile
Education & Experience
-
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
-
5–10+ years of experience working with electrical infrastructure in grid networks and/or power plants
-
Experience from developers, grid operators, OEMs, or consultancy within the renewable energy sector is highly preferred
-
Previous experience in a leadership or senior technical role
-
International or cross-border collaboration experience is an advantage
Technical Competencies

Strong experience in HV/MV electrical infrastructure design and/or design review

Solid knowledge of protection systems, component evaluation, and testing
-
Experience working within complex project environments
