Job Responsibilities
1. Wind Power Project Development & Technical Support - Japan (40%)
  • Identify wind opportunities in Japan and conduct technical feasibility assessments, focusing on offshore wind.
  • Develop technical solutions covering foundations, fabrication, transportation, and installation.
  • Interpret Japanese regulations and standards to ensure local compliance.
  • Support Country Manager in client discussions; build relationships with developers, EPCs, and consultants.
2. Tendering & Technical Commercial Management (25%)
  • Lead or participate in tendering: prepare technical documentation, responses, and solution optimization.
  • Evaluate client requirements to develop competitive proposals.
  • Collaborate with commercial team to align technical solutions with commercial terms.
  • Maintain technical database and bidding knowledge base for Japan.
3. Port Infrastructure & Project Execution Assessment (20%)
  • Assess Japanese ports: quay load capacity, lifting capability, logistics, infrastructure suitability.
  • Evaluate local supply chain and construction resources for project planning.
  • Provide technical support during execution to resolve engineering and production issues.
4. Project Execution & Cross-functional Coordination (15%)
  • Participate in technical management and coordination during execution.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams.
  • Support establishment of technical and project management systems for Japan.
  • Assist in mentoring local technical and project teams.
Qualifications
1. Education
  • Bachelor's in Wind Energy, Ocean/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. Professional Experience
  • 8+ years in wind power or offshore engineering.
  • International wind project experience, preferably Japanese market.
  • Proven track record in tendering, technical solutions, or project execution.
  • Familiarity with offshore foundations, fabrication, or large steel structures preferred.
  • Knowledge of Japanese port infrastructure, offshore construction, or local supply chain highly desirable.
3. Core Competencies
  • Technical: Wind project engineering, offshore fabrication, solution development.
  • Project Management: Full project lifecycle; cross-functional coordination.
  • Tendering & Commercial: Documentation, technical-commercial negotiations.
  • Language: English (working proficiency) Japanese (native).
