Responsibilities
Supporting the Construction Project / Operation Site through execution phase ensuring that the WTG HV system is tested to the standards and regulations in order to create a safe and effective HV energisation phase.
Provide technical support to HSE for investigations into electrical related safety issues as reported via project teams and the HSE reporting system.
Responsible for controlling, coordinating and agreeing all aspects of HV switching activities on site incl. the application and removal of Circuit Main Earths, the issue and cancellation of Safety documents and the re-energising of Plant and Apparatus in the offshore Windfarm.
Professional Experience / Education
Certified electrical education i.e. HNC Electrical Engineering / Qualified Electrician as minimum with a background in Low & High Voltage
Knowledge of EN 50110-1 Operation of Electrical Installations / EAWR and other Standards.
Relevant previous Wind industry technical & operational experience
Five years’ practical experience with electrical safety
Good knowledge of WTSR, HV Safety Rules, similar Safe Systems of Work, supporting procedures and documentation
LV / HV Authorisation Panel experience
Good communication and presentation skills in English
