Job Description – Project Planner

Location: Scotland, UK (flexible working available) Employment Type: Full-time, initial 12-month contract

Role

A key member of the project team, the Project Planner will work on an Offshore Wind Farm development project and form part of the Project Controls function, reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead in the development, integration and management of the master programme for an Offshore Wind Farm development project. Primary duties will include:

  • Lead and coordinate project-level programme development sessions, update cycles and related monthly reviews
  • Ensure the programme remains aligned with organisational practices and governance
  • Provide clear, concise and robust analysis of the programme using established techniques such as Critical Path Analysis (CPA)
  • Support the Project Controls Manager with senior management, shareholder and external stakeholder reporting
  • Evaluate Contractor programmes through the tender, award and execution stages
  • Maintain the programme database, including Enterprise Project Structure (EPS), baselines and related programme records
  • Support the Project Controls Manager with the preparation, analysis and reporting of Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis (S/CRA) modelling
  • Support the Project Controls Manager with the development and implementation of function-related processes and procedures

Experience

  • Minimum of five years' Project Planning experience on large-scale engineering, construction, energy or defence projects
  • Demonstrable experience within the Offshore Wind industry is essential
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and coordination skills
  • High proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional and Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of contract frameworks such as FIDIC and NEC is desirable
  • Project Management and/or Project Controls accreditations are desirable
