Onshore Landfall Site Manager
The Onshore HDD Landfall Site Manager will support the Offshore Site Manager (OSM) in the management of the site establishment and works co-ordination for the Onshore cable landfall works, for the completion of HDD and the subsequent installation, jointing and testing of 2x 320kV offshore cables plus associated.

Experience of the management of offshore wind farm construction, including an appreciation of the Principal Contractor duties under the CDM (2015) Regulations is required.

Flexible working hours will be essential given the 24-hour offshore construction process, and it is expected that the Onshore HDD Landfall Site Manager will work with either a 10 on 4 off shift rotation or Monday to Friday with sufficient provisions for travel - yet to be defined.

The Onshore HDD Landfall Site Manager will have the day-to-day responsibility for the coordination and management of works within the PC Zone 3 Site and related to the landfall installation of the offshore export cables. Reporting activity to line management and the wider project will be daily and weekly. There will be a requirement to attend and where relevant chair daily and weekly meetings attended by the GSM, OSM, Marine Coordinators, Permit Coordinators and all Contractors.
Deliverables:

Coordination of onshore/nearshore export cable landfall related works through the Principal Contractor SSoW and offshore access control processes with the primary focus being the management of Health and Safety.

Marine Coordination activities and communications related to nearshore vessel operations

Monitoring via inspection the offshore/onshore works to ensure works are being conducted in accordance with accepted written instructions and in compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice

Reviewing and accepting on behalf of the PC all written instructions. This will involve detailed understanding of the onshore / offshore construction works for an offshore wind farm and the ability to advise on working methods and written instruction submissions and to react to the daily changing circumstances that can occur.

Attend and where relevant chair daily and weekly meetings attended by the GSM, OSM, Marine Coordinators, Permit Coordinators and relevant Contractors.

Supporting the Principal Contractor and Contractor construction management teams in the execution of their roles.

Providing defined construction reports, for inclusion in the monthly Project report.

Raising alerts to any perceived trends relating to HSE risks or transgressions developing onshore / offshore as they arise, e.g. Early Warning.

Instructing the Contractor to stop the Works where there is an immediate significant health and safety risk, or risk associated with protection of the environment.

Promptly identify and notify on any construction issue that may arise or have the potential to arise during the works and shall aid in resolving any issues where applicable.

Maintain quality assurance processes including inspections, test records, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation.

Coordinate with local authorities, landowners, and environmental bodies to ensure compliance with planning and ecological requirements
Experience Required:

Extensive experience providing similar services in offshore renewables

An excellent understanding of construction practices, heavy lifting, sheet pilling, marine management and HV commissioning.

Requirements:

CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) minimum
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
All GWO’s including medical with Chester step test would be advantageous
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely
Marine VHF Short Range Certificate would be advantageous
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Full UK driving licence.
(TW) Temporary Works Coordinator certification desirable.
