LSP are supporting a global leader in the offshore wind space in their search for an Offshore Substation Package Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Development and delivery of the Electrical Offshore Substation EPCI tender process;
- Safely deliver the full life-cycle management of the Offshore Substation works from concept design, through construction, commissioning to handover, no harm to people or the environment, on time, on budget and to required quality standards.
- Supply chain engagement plan for the Offshore Substation works;
- Provide inputs into the rest of project packages during the design phase and to define the working interfaces with them;
- Commercial evaluation of cost for supporting of the contract and/or claims;
- Responsible for the development of technical solutions, evaluating cost and compliance risk;
- Ensure compliance with the project's quality plan;
- Promote ‘Right First Time’ behaviours within the project team to ensure comprehensive safety management, planning, risk identification, mitigation and taking action to recover forecast departures from plan
- Ensure Contractors’ cooperation to execute the HSE Project Plan and be able to quickly react to observed non-conformities, using relevant systems and regulations;
- Work collaboratively with other major construction packages, such as WTG’s, Export and Inter-Array cabling, to co-ordinate and manage interfaces in co-operation with other Package Managers and the wider team
- Utilise other package resources as required to ensure the efficient delivery of the scope of works.
- Manage handover of the Offshore Substation to the operations team and the grid owner as required;
- Contribute to ongoing Lessons Learned activities, actively sharing knowledge, information and potential improvements.
Deliverables:
- Safe delivery of the offshore substation for the project including continued development, construction and handover to operations, closeout of commercial aspects and delivery of all as built documentation included.
Key Qualifications:
- All necessary certificates, which are required to perform Offshore works
- Degree or Chartership in Project Management and membership of recognised Project Management organisation such as APM
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Engineering, preferably higher qualification, or closely related competency
- Knowledge of standards associated with delivery of an Offshore Substation and offshore works.
Must have qualifications/experience
- More than ?5 years of experience on large, complex capital projects through development and construction phase, especially HV and EHV transmission systems and associated works
- Experience of offshore energy infrastructure and construction works
- Renewable energy/offshore wind farm experience
- Demonstrable experience of working effectively in an international business
- Strong level of competency in contract management, claims management, negotiation techniques and dispute resolution methodologies
- Strong project management, influencing and negotiation skills with supplier and operators
- Strong organisational and prioritising skills, with ability to communicate at all levels across the business
- Business proficient in English
- Project expectation is that project team members will be required to attend Swindon (Main project office), London or Coventry offices as required and in agreement with the line manager. Work pattern to be agreed and as a minimum, face to face attendance is expected two days per week for scheduled meetings and effective interaction with the project team.
