On behalf of a leading developer of offshore wind projects, LSP are looking to recruit an Electrical PM to take overall responsibility for all project activities necessary to deliver the electrical transmission system of an offshore wind project, in accordance with established Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), quality, schedule and cost targets.

- Delivery of the Electrical Transmission system for the offshore project
- Demonstrably prioritise HSE performance through planning, design and implementation to eliminate or reduce risks during design, construction, operation and maintenance.
- Provide key inputs into the development of the wider electrical system including the grid connection, onshore and offshore substations and cables.
- Work with package managers to ensure co-ordination of the delivery of the associated packages with no harm to people or the environment, on time, in quality, on budget and in the best interest of the project and our Client
- Cost, schedule, quality and change control
- Technical, commercial, cost, resource and time planning for the electrical system and associated works of the offshore wind farm
- Support of permitting, land and development activities related to the electrical system.
- Coordinate and align strategic procurement planning and supply chain engagement
- Drive ‘Right First Time’ behaviours within the project team. Promote comprehensive planning, risk identification, mitigation and taking action to recover forecast departures from plan
- Work collaboratively with other major construction packages, such as WTG’s, and Inter-Array cabling etc.
- Contribute to Lessons Learned activities, actively sharing knowledge, information and improvements.
- Reporting to the Project Leadership Team and business as required.
- Representing the respective electrical system packages at Contractor Steering Committee meetings, or other, to support escalation and resolution of issues.
- For UK based projects, be aware of OFTO transaction processes, risks and opportunities, including interfacing with regulatory affairs and OFTO transaction teams.
- Safe delivery of the Electrical transmission system for the project including continued development, construction and handover to operations, closeout of commercial aspects and delivery of all as built documentation for all associated packages.
- All necessary certificates, which are required to perform Offshore works
- Degree or Chartership in Project Management and membership of recognised Project Management organisation such as APM
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Engineering, preferably higher qualification, or closely related competency
- Knowledge of standards associated with delivery of an Offshore Substation and offshore works.
- Degree level education or similar
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering or closely related Engineering or technical degree.
- Experience delivering large, complex capital projects through development and construction phase
- Experience of HV and EHV transmission systems
- Knowledge of grid infrastructure
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with suppliers and grid operators
- Strong team player, self-starting and highly motivated
- Business proficient in English
- Strong level of competency in contract management, claims management, negotiation techniques and dispute resolution methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels across the business
- A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel frequently within UK and abroad
- Business proficient in English
- Project expectation is that project team members will be required to attend Swindon (Main project office), London or Coventry offices as required and in agreement with the line manager. Work pattern to be agreed and as a minimum, face to face attendance is expected two days per week for scheduled meetings and effective interaction with the project team and later contractors.
