Justification – Korea Communications Coverage
During the maternity leave of the Korea Communications Manager, a designated Communications Manager will oversee all communications activities in Korea to ensure business continuity. The role covers media relations, issues management, digital content, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with regional priorities, while supporting ongoing project development and maintaining consistent messaging.
Job Description
Support and execute corporate communications, public relations, CSR, and internal engagement initiatives in Korea. Work closely with regional and global teams, headquarters, and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen brand positioning, reputation, and stakeholder relationships. Ensure all communications align with broader corporate priorities, messaging frameworks, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main communications contact in Korea, aligning messaging with leadership, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Global Alignment: Partner with global communications teams to ensure consistency with corporate narratives, campaigns, and leadership visibility.
- Communications Delivery: Support messaging, announcements, media engagement, and issues management.
- Internal Communications: Drive internal updates, employee engagement initiatives, and maintain communication platforms.
- External Communications: Develop and localize materials such as press releases, key messages, and presentations; support media relations and social media activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare materials to support project communications and engagement with communities, government, and partners.
- CSR & Sustainability: Assist in planning and executing CSR and ESG initiatives, including communications and stakeholder outreach.
- Reporting & Coordination: Provide updates on communications activities, media coverage, and risks; collaborate with HR, BD, and sustainability teams.
- Transition Management: Ensure proper documentation and handover for a smooth transition post-coverage.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in communications or PR, ideally in multinational or energy/infrastructure sectors
- Strong knowledge of the South Korea media landscape
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Korean
- Experience across internal, external, and digital communications
- Familiarity with CSR/ESG communications is a plus
- Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in renewable energy or regulated industries is advantageous
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently
