Senior Investment Director - Global Investment & Strategy - Wind
Location: London or Hong Kong preferred (other Chinese locations considered)

Our client is seeking a Senior Investment Director to join its Global Investment & Strategy Team. The role will focus on greenfield wind farm investments, with the objective of acquiring and developing projects to support turbine sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in wind project development, ideally within corporate or utility investment teams, and prior exposure to investment banking, private equity, or advisory roles. European wind farm experience is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities
Deal Investment & Execution

• Lead financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis for greenfield wind projects
• Conduct technical, financial, and regulatory due diligence for potential investments

Energy Market & Pricing Expertise

• Monitor energy market trends and policy developments to identify risks and opportunities

Procurement & Trading

• Understand green electricity procurement processes, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
• Support the negotiation and structuring of PPAs and trading agreements to maximise returns

Strategic Insights 

• Provide strategic insights to optimise portfolio performance and assess future growth potential

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Renewable Energy, or a related field
• Strong wind project development experience, ideally utility-scale
• European wind farm experience preferred
• Prior experience in corporate/utility investment teams or investment banking/advisory
• Proven ability to manage complex renewable energy deals and project finance structures
• Senior manager-level experience with leadership in investment analysis, deal execution, or due diligence

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of energy pricing mechanisms, project financing, and market dynamics
• Knowledge of green electricity procurement and PPAs
