We are repersenting a leading renewable energy organisation in seeking a skilled Investment Analyst to support the continued growth of its business. This role offers exposure to large-scale wind and utility-scale solar investments, with a strong focus on financial analysis, transaction execution, and strategic market insights.

Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Deal Execution

  • Build and maintain financial models for wind and utility-scale solar projects, including valuation, returns analysis, and scenario testing
  • Support end-to-end due diligence across financial, regulatory, technical, and commercial dimensions
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and prepare clear, data-driven recommendations for senior stakeholders

Energy Market & Pricing Analysis
  • Analyse electricity pricing structures and market dynamics, and assess implications for renewable energy investments
  • Monitor regulatory developments, policy changes, and market trends across key European energy markets

Procurement & Commercial Structuring
  • Support the review of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and related commercial arrangements
  • Assist in evaluating offtake structures to support project returns and risk management

Reporting & Strategic Support
  • Prepare investment papers, presentations, and analytical reports for internal decision-making
  • Contribute to portfolio performance analysis and support strategic planning for future investments

Qualifications & Experience

Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline

Experience
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, with a strong focus on energy or infrastructure
  • Background in an Investment Bank (e.g. within M&A, Project Finance, or Energy/Infrastructure teams) or a renewable energy developer / IPP
  • Prior exposure to utility-scale solar and/or wind (onshore or offshore) assets is highly preferred
  • Proven experience supporting or executing renewable energy transactions, with involvement in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence
  • Strong understanding of project finance principles and investment decision-making processes

Technical Skills
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
  • Good understanding of project finance structures and renewable energy economics
  • Knowledge of electricity markets, pricing mechanisms, and UK or European energy market dynamics
