Sam has been in recruitment since 2007 and has focused entirely on renewable energy since 2013. He has developed a specialist knowledge of the industry and a network that spans the entire project life cycle from initial feasibility, through construction and into O&M.  Wind Energy has been the main technology over the years with significant solar and more recently storage and green hydrogen.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, leveraging your expertise in BESS technology, project development, and the Philippine energy market. Key Responsibilities Conduct technical and feasibility studies for BESS projects, including market analysis, site selection, technology evaluation, and grid integration assessments. Develop and manage BESS project proposals, including technical specifications, financial models, and regulatory approvals. Interface with stakeholders including government agencies, regulatory bodies, potential partners, and local communities. Secure necessary permits and approvals for BESS projects. Support the procurement process for BESS equipment and services. Monitor project progress and manage risks associated with BESS development. Stay up-to-date on the latest BESS technologies and market trends. Contribute to the development of internal BESS expertise and knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably with a focus on energy storage solutions. Proven experience in BESS technology, including technical specifications, applications, and integration with power grids. Strong understanding of the Philippine energy market and regulatory landscape. Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) a plus. Ability to travel within the Philippines for project development activities. Fluency in English
