Location: Hamburg / Home-based
 
Scope
  • Drive our Client’s HSE culture with suppliers and ensure good HSE standard during
  • Conduct the Marine Assurance according to our Client’s Marine Governance System
  • Support projects on marine operations
  • Conduct vessel inspections and on-/off-hire survey worldwide
  • Assist projects (development, construction & decommissioning) during the project life cycle with marine consultant service
  • Technical consultant for marine asset.
  • Technical consultant for marine operation.
  • Assist the Marine Coordination during setup and construction.
  • Attend port and offshore marine operations.
  • Share Lessons Learned based on internal and external marine incidents as well as project learnings within the organization
  • Develop, review and maintain marine operation documentation
  • Tender assistance in terms of marine asset and marine operation.
  • Evaluation of marine assets against the Marine Governance System requirements.
  • Act according to the Marine Governance System
 
Experience
  • Demonstrable competence and experience of working in construction of major offshore wind projects
  • Experience with different Marine Assets used in Offshore Construction Operations - preferably from the Offshore Wind Sector
  • Understanding of mobilization of installation vessel
  • Loadout and offshore installation
  • Experience with vessel assurance
  • Deep knowledge about national and international marine regulations and certifications
  • Deep understanding of vessel Safety Management Systems
  • Deep understanding of marine industry best practices such as DNV, G+, IMCA guidelines, etc.
  • Experience in conducting vessel inspection and on-/off-hire survey
  • Experience in project management and coordination
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and succinct manner
  • Liaising with teams across a diverse interdisciplinary landscape
  • Support in engaging with supply chain
  • Utilising digital and virtual platforms
 
Skills
  • A good understanding of the relevant Transport & Installation concepts and processes
  • Analytical skills – ability to work to a high level of accuracy and to produce a high standard of written work
  • Active and solution orientated approach
  • The ability to respond to changing priorities and demands and adopt a flexible approach to working
  • Preferable: Experience with Dynamic Position Operation and certified as Dynamic Positioning Operator
 
Certifications
  • Degree in nautical science, or a closely aligned discipline.
  • Served on board of vessels as Officer or Marine Coordinator at a Marine Coordination Center
  • GWO full suite of certificates
  • Offshore medical fitness to work offshore
