Our client is looking for a Sales Team Lead, reporting to the Data Centre Sales director for EMEA. The Data Centre Account and Zone Team leader role will have three main areas of responsibility. Personally, driving profitable growth through the assigned accounts and opportunities.   Responsibility as Team leader for a number of assigned data center sales and account managers. Responsible for the execution of the overall EMEA and Global data center sale strategy across Germany. Key ResponsibilitiesIn the Account function the person shall drive revenue within large international data center operating companies, principally Hyperscale & MTDC/CoLo companies.  The person is expected to identify and book profitable new business directly with assigned clients.In the Team Leader role, the person shall drive revenue through the support, coaching, motivation and management of a number of data center sales and key account managers. Oversight on sales and account strategy formulation and execution, team performance, account planning. Focused on achieving a variety of commercial targets at team and account level. These projects by nature are identified by local knowledge and market access and addressed by the general country sales organization but on case-by-case basis support shall be afforded in order to secure business for our client. The nature of Data Centre business means that opportunities may originate and be secured in one country and deployed in another. The Team leader shall coordinate with the wider data center team to report on data center activity, pipeline, revenue and outlook for the assigned territory inclusive of all data center opportunities regardless of origin and assigned account managers. To function effectively the person shall also work collaboratively internally with other regional and global account managers, central account support team, bid response team, business units, functional units, segment marketing and country sales organizations. They shall identify which accounts, consultants, and contractors can influence and unlock commercial opportunities for the company.  The individual shall have a thorough experience and a long track record of success in the data center industry. The person shall follow the segment defined processes for opportunity identification, qualification, client requirement analysis and value proposition creation.The person shall oversight and is a principal stakeholder in the success of associated functions for example the technical and commercial bid response tendering process, project execution and management and data center services. The team leader shall support these functions and processes to ensure they are to data center industry and client specific norms.To perform effectively the person shall maintain sufficient market and competitor intelligence. Develop contracting strategies and processes for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), assess vendor proposals, and secure contracts which are best value possible. Address scope specifi cations to find and eliminate unnecessary costs. Negotiate key supply contracts and maintain relationships and partnerships with key suppliers at the most senior level.
