As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will oversee the civil engineering processes for a diverse portfolio of onshore development projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all civil engineering aspects of projects.- Manage procurement and oversight of civil, ground, and access engineering consultants and contractors.
- Provide expert guidance on civil engineering issues and constructability
- Ensure civil design work adheres to CDM regulations throughout design and construction stages.
- Oversee design interfaces between civil, electrical, and wind turbine contracts.
- Contribute to senior management and board meetings on civil engineering matters
- Support project FID and procurement activities with specialist knowledge.
- Identify and manage the procurement of specialist external technical support.
- Review proposals, reports, and designs to ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Manage consultants to deliver workable transport routes for major components.
- Prepare Employer’s Requirements/Works Information for civil engineering tasks.
- Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
- Develop project documentation, tools, processes, and procedures to enhance project development.

Skills & Experience:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement
- Ability to identify and mitigate project risks, working collaboratively to find solutions.
- Practical experience with NEC4 and FIDIC contracts in civil project phases.
- Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working independently and managing remote teams.
- Proficient in commercial design software and digital technologies.

Qualifications
- Degree-qualified Chartered Engineer with a robust technical background.
- Experience across all project lifecycle phases, ideally within the energy sector.
- Proven track record in managing consultants and contractors on high-value projects.
- High technical competency in civil and structural design, with practical construction and commissioning experience.
