Senior Authorised Person - 400kV

LSP's Client is a global developer of offshore wind projects and are looking to grow their commissioning team with a 400kV SAP. 

Main Tasks:

• Support design phase to ensure operator needs are considered
• Participate in FAT/SAT to become familiar with the electrical system
• Help develop the Electrical Safety Rules (ESR)
• Promote safety culture as an ambassador for ESR
• Carry out HV switching operations as needed
• Plan and prepare electrical work as directed by the Lead SAP
• Coordinate with all APs/SAPs working on the system
• Respond to abnormal conditions and inform the Lead SAP
• Initiate emergency procedures when necessary
• Take part in audits, inspections, and safety walkdowns when required
• Issue and cancel electrical safety documentation
• Manage switching operations and removal of safety precautions
• Review work requests, RAMS, and assess electrical risk
• Ensure proper handover between SAPs during shift changes
• Train O&M staff to take over SAP responsibilities
• Support commissioning and energisation of electrical systems
• Keep accurate records of switching, permits, and isolations
• Work closely with contractors and interface teams to coordinate activities
• Act as standby Control Engineer, in the event of team absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a role model
• In real-time on knowledge on ongoing work and the priorities of each job
• Manage the power distributions of the OWP
• Monitor and Operate the OWP locally and via SCADA if required
• Ensure adherence to Baltic Power Electrical Safety Rules
• Create safe Processes for 1st energizations
• Create switching schedules for 1st energizations
• Create/check switching schedules
• Take responsibility as Person in Control of the electrical Installation during work
• Monitor, approve, issue safety documents
• Safely operate the plant under Clients' Electrical Safety Rules alongside other procedures
• Create switching schedules for the creation of a safe workplace for all work on the electrical system
• Perform Switching Tasks
• Act as representative of the Commissioning team on the OSS
• Assist with FATs & SATs

• Familiarity with other procedures relevant to operating high voltage networks

Requirements:

• Experienced in HV commissioning, Operations under electrical safety rules, Safety documentation, switching schedules, Electrical regulations
• Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in Polish is desirable.
