Our client is seeking an Permit & Environmental Manager to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities
Permit and Consents
  • Manage and ensure execution of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) monitoring activities and compliance and commitment as well as internal and external stakeholder’s and consultant’s communication.
  • Ensure authority communication in relation to all consent matters.
  • Managing the robust transfer of permit requirements from construction and to the Asset & Operations Management organization
  • Managing of project compliance/interfaces between permitting and all relevant functions
  • Managing the permit and consent register and ensure the tracking, updates and execution of all commitments and tasks required and identified in the permits.
  • Ensure timely and adequate communication and official letters to the government authority and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and create documents, policies, and procedures in compliance with regulatory agencies to maintain/obtain required permits
Environmental & Social Governance
  • Ensuring the ESMS and relevant commitments and plans are implemented, monitored, reviewed, maintained and updated throughout the Project lifecycle.
  • Ensure ongoing E&S compliance.
  • Supporting and communicating with LESA and/ or lenders on E&S related matters.
  • Managing ESMS works in internal and external communication.
  • Manage and execute the preparation and updates of E&S plans and reports.
  • Develop, implement, and execute the Permit & Environmental Compliance Strategy for project
  • Provide regular reporting to the CEO and Project Shareholders/Lenders
  • Set up, and actively manage regular Permit & Environmental meetings as well as active participation and contribution of other site/project meetings for related matters
 
Requirements
  • +5 years’ (offshore wind) permitting / consent / ESG related experience
  • Relevant knowledge in the Taiwanese Permitting & Consent Landscape
  • Relevant knowledge in the Environmental & Social Governance
  • Offshore wind industry knowledge and understanding
  • Good communicator with proven ability to build sound relationships and represent them in project meetings and presentations
  • Competent when dealing with regulatory requirements
  • Tenacious self-starter, professional, organized and process driven
  • Able to work independently
  • IT literate (familiar with Microsoft Office & SharePoint)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to establish, maintain and develop effective relationships.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Background in Offshore development / EPC projects / operational start-up of offshore windfarms / windfarm operations
  • Technical understanding of the full Asset (WTG, Cables, ONS, OSS, Foundation)
  • IT competent within the Microsoft Office package with an ability to quickly learn how to use software tools.
  • Closing Date for Submission Fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) is required to liaise effectively with corporate clients and stakeholders.
