Our client is creating a Head of Policy & Regulation in Poland. This role will be one of the first appointments in Poland to support the company's growth. This role will be reporting into the Head of International Corporate Affairs and will be delivering on in-depth analysis of both current and potential future policy and regulation which will impact the Polish renewable energy sector.

  • Establish strong relationships with external stakeholders in Poland including local councils, politicians, trade associations, government officials, government and regulatory agencies, the TSO, DSOs, and non-governmental organisations.
  • Through accurate and in-depth reading of the energy contest, gather and analyse up to date information on political, governmental, regulatory and key influencer activities in Poland to provide policy advice and strategic support.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the business on all matters relating to reputation and key stakeholder relationships, advise business teams on most appropriate strategies and messaging for relevant stakeholders, and lead this engagement once agreed.
  • Draft policy responses to government and regulator consultations to ensure views are formally represented in government policy and regulatory development.
  • Working with others within Corporate Affairs and the company to identify the key business issues requiring external relations support and to regularly review these to ensure alignment with changing business priorities and objectives.


  • Deep knowledge of Poland's energy market, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Previous experience in public policy development, stakeholder engagement and/or strategic roles with an in-depth understanding of Polish politics and government and how it impacts upon business.
  • Previous experience within the renewable energy industry which would benefit when looking at a broad range of technologies.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills (external and internal audiences) to initiate leads, build, improve and maintain external contacts; and establish strong working relationships to enable the job holder to seek cooperation from, influence or motivate others to help resolve problems.
