Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Manager to oversee the delivery of the electrical aspect for an onshore substation package project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all electrical aspects of the project, ensuring that the substation design, construction, and commissioning meet technical specifications and industry standards.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop and manage detailed plans for the electrical components of the onshore substation package.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide expert guidance on the design and engineering of electrical systems for the onshore substation.
    • Review and approve electrical designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
  • Construction Oversight:
    • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
    • Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety:
    • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of electrical work.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
    • Manage relationships with key suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely delivery and performance.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, progress, and any issues to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all electrical work, including designs, inspections, and test results.
    • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle.

 
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering and management, specifically in delivering onshore substation projects within the renewable energy or power generation sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, substation design, construction, and commissioning processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in electrical design and project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin
