Solar PV Field Engineer
 
Location: Midlands
 
Our client is looking for a Solar PV Field Engineer responsible for all aspects of Solar PV Electrical servicing works and fault diagnostics on contracted and non-contracted systems.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Site service sheets and written reports to be completed within five working days of Site visit.
  • Service sheets to include, full site findings, test results (AC & DC), requirements and recommendations for all remedial / further works. This will include all and any access requirements and or relevant site details.
  • Ensure all equipment, tooling & materials have been loaded onto the vehicle(s) to be able to undertake the tasks/works required.
  • Ensure all personal & supplied tools are maintained and suitable for their intended use/operation, as per the manufacture’s recommendations. Any supplied tool or equipment defects are to be reported to the company immediately.
  • All works are undertaken/installed to the clients, current project drawing suites issued, project/site managers instructions & current BS EN standards & legislation.
  • Liaise with customer to ensure they are satisfied with the undertaken works and workings of the system/install.
  • Ensure all project, safety & specific documentation is completed accurately & to company or BS/EN standards, and the site is left clean and tidy.
  • All documentation and change of drawings are to be returned to office and the appropriate member of staff instructed. All pictures of works are to be downloaded to the job file on day of return to office.
  • Assist with other parts of the project/works and all parts of the business as and when necessary & instructed.
  • Should any of the above not be complied with, appropriate disciplinary procedures may be implemented.
  • Working/staying away will be required.
  • It is your responsibility to get to and from the place of work for the agreed contract or site hours.
  • The Van/Vehicle issued, is to be used for its provided/intended company use.
  • The Van/Vehicle will be the ultimate responsibility of you. As so the vehicle is required to be kept road worthy, with any wear or defects reported immediately to the company.
  • The Van/Vehicle to be kept clean/ tidy & washed. Spot checks will be conducted by company management.
  • Daily vehicle checks are the responsibility of you & or the Driver

 
 
 
 
Qualifications

  • Electrical background coupled with relevant level 2 & 3 qualifications.
  • Solar PV experience & experience on fault finding & diagnostics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise your workload. 
  • Full UK driving licence.
