BOur client has joined forces to develop floating offshore wind projects in the UK. The partnership combines their knowledge and experience in developing, financing, and delivering offshore wind projects with their partners strong track record of global project development and community engagement. This partnership is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to play an essential role in the delivery of its floating offshore wind farm portfolio.
The Role
As a Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our internal and external communication strategies. You will be responsible for events management, media engagement, devising communication strategies, and managing our social media presence as well as a wide range of additional ad-hoc communication-based activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication Strategy Development: Support the development of comprehensive communication strategies to promote the partnership’s portfolio of floating offshore wind farms. Provide support and advice on all communication activity, ensuring alignment with joint-venture partners’ expectations. Monitor industry trends and stay informed about policy developments in renewable energy for effective communication.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute various events, including industry conferences, community outreach programs, and supply chain engagement events. Coordinate logistics, branded assets, manage budgets, and ensure the successful implementation of events.
  • Website Management: Maintain and update the partnership's websites, ensuring timely and relevant content. Implement SEO strategies to enhance online visibility and reach.
  • Media Engagement: Cultivate relationships with media outlets and influencers, seeking new opportunities to enhance the partnership's public presence. Draft press releases, respond to media inquiries, and proactively seek opportunities for media coverage.
  • Social Media Management: Collaborate with internal teams to create and curate compelling and relevant content that excites and delights our audiences, monitoring and analysing social media performance and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Internal Communication: Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged. Ensure clear and consistent communication of all partnership activities and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or related roles within the renewable energy, energy, or environmental sectors.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in website management, design, and video editing.
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software)
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policy and a passion for environmental sustainability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools and software for communication and project management.
