On behalf of our client, a leading investment fund in the renewable energy industry, LSP Renewables are recruiting for a Construction Project Manager to manage the construction activities of large scale Solar PV assets in mainland Greece. 
Our client own more than 800MW of Solar PV assets across 3 countries, and more than 50 projects. The successful candidate will be ensuring assets are built on time, within budget, from Financial Close to the start of commercial operations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the construction management of new greenfield projects, involving the oversight of the construction programme from Financial Close to the start of commercial operations. The role will involve liaising with the EPC contractor and project advisers during the construction period and subsequent handover to the Portfolio Management Team.
  • Overall Project Management which includes EPC Contractor management, EPC Contract management, liaising with Legal and Technical Advisors, represent the companies before local and public authorities and deliver a complete Project Data Room and documentation to Portfolio Team.
  • Delivering of solar projects form Shovel ready to CoD and hand them over to Portfolio Teams.
  • Overall Construction Management ensuring the quality and the compliance of the technical requirements.  Full responsibility for monitoring technical, environmental and safety compliance, cost, quality, schedule, stakeholders’ integration and security.
  • Focus on quality management and control is paramount. This position is regarded as a hands-on, site based, skilled construction management role.


  • Preferable professional experience in a development company, IPP or utility (industrial background).
  • Educated to degree level in an Engineering discipline. 
  • Good understanding of Greek regulations (including permitting, low and high voltage norms and grid requirements).
  • Experience and good understanding of EPC and O&M agreements including negotiation, understanding of key commercial elements of a solar and wind deal.
  • Proven track record in delivering EPC detail engineering and owner engineering requirements.
  • Successful track record on seeking selection and contractual negotiation with key suppliers and subcontractors. 
  • Experience in QA/QC in Solar farms and related equipment.
  • Good understanding of commissioning and testing methodology.
  • Be able to complete site visits to ensure installations meet the correct quality, technical specifications and built. 
  • Good understanding of the technical due diligence process complemented with experience in managing and liaising with Technical Advisors and external advisors
