LSP Renewables have partnered with a global leader in Solar Project Development to recruit a Business Development and M&A Manager to join their team in Germany.
The Business Development and M&A Manager will help to grow the PV project pipeline in Germany and to provide project management and analytical support to evaluate M&A and organic growth opportunities for our client’s solar projects in the region.
Our client have developed over 400 projects worldwide totalling 1GW and are accelerating the development of their portfolio across Europe.
Responsibilities
The Business Development and M&A Manager will help to grow the PV project pipeline in Germany and to provide project management and analytical support to evaluate M&A and organic growth opportunities for our client’s solar projects in the region.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing the acquisition of solar PV projects and assets
- Conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and negotiating deals to expand the company's solar PV portfolio
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of M&A activities
- Stay updated on the solar PV market trends, identify potential acquisition targets, and assess market opportunities for growth
- Lead negotiations with project owners, developers, and stakeholders to structure and close solar PV acquisition deals. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure favourable terms
- Identify high potential solar projects
- Negotiate and sign lease agreements
- Deal with authorities to get all necessary permission to build and operate solar plants;
- Communicate and liaise with engineers for the technical design of each plant
- Managing relationships with local authorities, utilities, and the regulators
- Interacting with legal, tax, technical, and insurance advisors
- Control projects until ready-to-build status and also participating in the auction and sale process
- 4-5 years’ experience in energy sector or project related environment with M&A experience
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Technical, Law, or relatable area
- Familiarity with the authorization process for zoning, environmental/ building codes, and land/ grid connection conditions
- Ability to assess energy projects from an economical and legal perspective
- Ability to work independently and proactively approach stakeholders
- Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems
- English and German proficiency
- Driving License (Category B)
