Scope of responsibility: PV plant design, planning, permitting, EPC tenders and project follow-up on construction phase.

Responsibilities: 

Presales and Sales support:

• Study the customer requirements and define the conceptual and preliminary designs and identification of risks.
• Get price estimates from contractors to get an accurate estimation of project costs.
• Perform site visit to gather details required for development of the project – area, interconnection, structural suitability, safety requirements, etc. perform technical due diligence for acquisition.
• Coordinate technical requests between Business developers, customer, and central technical team for developing most beneficial solution to the customers.

Pre-construction phase:

• Ensure proper review of the engineering documentation.
• Define and optimize the technical part of the offer (non-binding and binding offers) to create additional value.
• Perform technology assessment, cost optimization and sensitivity analysis.
• Keep all project documentation well-structured and classified.
• Prepare the technical packages for contractor selection through RFP processes.
• Review and evaluate the technical proposals submitted by EPC contractors and main equipment suppliers.

Project execution:

• Coordinate each project-specific design review process with external parties.
• Ensure the follow-up and the execution of all projects by anticipating the potential delays and changes that can impact the projects.
• Supervise and identify solutions during construction in all technical issues that may arise.
• Ensuring that projects meet the companies technical specifications and applicable standards.
• Coordinate and supervise all technical related conditions required for provisional acceptance.
• Responsible for the registration of all assets in the REN digital tool (Netsuite)

Accountabilities:

• The company ambition is to develop in the next 5 years an international leadership and profitable presence in the UK solar distributed generation market.
• The business operates in a very competitive environment with both local and international competitors. Constantly changing technical evolutions require that to remain competitive active cost reduction and performance improvement processes need to be actioned. Rules, regulations, and standards in constant change.
• The HSE environment: to ensure that the highest standards of HSE are implemented during the construction and operational phases. This can often involve implementing additional processes beyond market standards.

Qualifications          
 
University degree bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related fields.

• 5 years of professional experience in a similar role within the solar PV industry. Additional training in Solar PV (Design and technology) is a plus;
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), and use of AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope and other PV software
• Ability to read/write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• High analytical and organizational skills, ability to work individually and as a team.
• Self-motivated, with strong initiative and creative thinking
• Ability to travel as assigned.
• Fluency in English, French is a plus
